Word Camp Equals Early Summer Fun
filed in General Tech, WordPress on Mar.31, 2011
I tweeted about this a few weeks ago, but am excited to write that I have a clear weekend to attend Word Camp Raleigh 2011!
I went to the event in 2010 but wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to make it this year. Work has been so crazy that I haven’t had many free weekends. But I cleared May 21st and 22nd off and am going to attend. I had too much fun and learned too much at the event last time. I believe 2010 was the first year for Raleigh, and for the first time out they did a great job. So, I can’t wait to see what Michael Torbert, Steve Mortiboy et al have planned for this year. I haven’t been able to make any of the WordPress meetups this year (been too busy and they changed the times to weekday nights), so I am really anxious to be around folks talking WordPress for the weekend.
The speaker list is yet to be announced, but like last time, they expect to have a minimum of three tracks again this year with tracks designed for beginners, developers and all those in between.
Cannot wait and of course I will do as much reporting on the event as time allows. If you are in Raleigh this summer and have any remote interest in WordPress, you should check it out for sure.
